Ooh la la. (Naughty. In 1800s, our home was bordello catering to society’s elite). A Bed and breakfast now, with GREAT great location, so no car needed.
After a day exploring New Orleans French Quarter, relax in the hammock in our courtyard, or on the porch swing on our verandah ('verandah' is a fancy Southern word that really means 'front porch', and 'courtyard' in New Orleans is what folks who don't live here might call a 'patio'):
We offer the ultimate in French Quarter Lagniappe. Live like a N’Awlins local with our INSIDER Eguides: music, dancing, restaurants, food, history, culture, sightseeing.

Yeah, yeah. We know our photo's aren't "slick". Some day we'll learn how to use that "new fangled" gadget (digital camera) and editing software to crop out fire extinguishers, etc! If rooms are ever vacant, we'll take a new photo's.
Looking for a bargain, but don't want to give up amenities? REASONABLE RATES (all applicable taxes included): (Many guests return to us and recommend us to others because of our GREAT location, personal service, and "extras". Another reason guests keep coming back is our reasonable prices.)

We don't have many rooms, so our accommodations rent quickly, because they are very popular (more than 50% of our guests have stayed with us before, so our rooms rent faster than many French Quarter B&Bs). It's ALWAYS better to call, so you can get your 1st choice of accommodation. Please remember we do NOT have a large staff, so an email may not be opened right away and the room you want for your dates may be gone (Nope, we aren't the Ritz. "Mom" and "Pop" are helping guests, so we're not sitting at the computer). Take the "plunge." Try the old fashioned way: pick up your telephone AND CALL.
Don't give up! If you haven't gotten bored yet, the headings in the section to the left may whet your appetite for what else you'll find within our web site other than just info about our B&B in New Orleans.
Our web site is like a jigsaw puzzle. Don't be embarrassed if you can't figure out how to use it. CALL and the 'banana lady' will talk you through finding stuff.
← For a full description of ACCOMMODATIONS, with ROOM PHOTO'S and regular rates, click on "Accommodation" section heading to the left of this screen. At the top of the screen in that section, ABOVE the stained glass banana leaf window photo, find the block/box with the words "ROOM photo's . . . ". Click the down pointed ARROW in the right bottom corner of the box. That will open the pull down/drop down menu, THEN you can SCROLL DOWN to select and CLICK to open the accommodation you want to learn more about. After you click the room, you'll find a description of each accommodation, with digital photos (such as they are. Someone in this house needs to learn how to take better photo's). Click the DOWN ARROW each time to REopen the pull down menu. Keep scrolling down, because there are a bunch of accommodations, and you can't see them all on the 1st part of the pull down menu (See what we've learned?! You didn't think we knew ANY words of computer lingo).

New Orleans French Quarter,
. . . just the way you imagined!

Folks are always amazed how SMALL the French Quarter is (about 7 by 12, short blocks). You can walk from one end of the French quarter to the other in only 15-20 minutes! When we walk guests from the main B&B to Bourbon St., it only takes a couple of minutes. OR in only 5 minutes and are you are at the Mississippi River. It only takes 7 minutes to walk to the French Market, 10-12 minutes and you are at Cafe du Monde, Jackson Square where the horse and buggies are lined up in front of St. Louis Cathedral! (Mostly mules, but horse and buggy sounds more romantic, huh?!) (Nope. That 10-12 minute walk does not include the time you will take peeking in courtyard gates or window shopping, or just ambling along, 'cause you are on holiday or vacation and don't have to be any place at a set time.)
Whether you are coming to New Orleans and Louisiana for Mardi Gras parades, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Festival, Satchmo Fest (Louis Armstrong), Essence Festival, other festivals, New Years Eve, 4th of July, Halloween, a honeymoon, romantic weekend, anniversary, birthday, for recreation, music, food, to ride the St. Charles streetcar, tour the swamps, bayous, or plantations, learn about Vampires, Voodoo or historic cemetery/cemeteries, to hunt for ghosts, see the aquarium, French Market, Audubon park and Zoo, St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square, take a cruise on the Mississippi River, eat at beignets and drink Chicory coffee at Cafe du Monde, chomp on a muffaletta at Central Grocery, try baked Alaska at Antoine's or Bananas Foster at Brennan's, chow down on crawfish (we'll teach you how to peel 'em, if you ask), go to a Jazz or Gospel brunch, attend a convention at the Ernest Morial Convention Center, or to just be a tourist on Bourbon St., we'll try to help with suggestions for travel plans, tours, sightseeing, restaurants, clubs, music, and more. (When y'all see the VAST amount of information at the main B&B or when you get our Email guides, you may find more than you EVER wanted to know about New Orleans!)

1st TRIP to the FRENCH QUARTER
?
1st TIME staying at a BED AND
BREAKFAST (B&B)?
It's our pleasure to help 1st time visitors (we
call y'all French Quarter "virgins") and international travelers enjoy our city to the
fullest. From helping you plan your itinerary to giving you special
executive reservation numbers at popular restaurants, telling you about the
most popular music clubs and your, steering you away from 'tourist traps" we do
whatever it takes to ensure a fun filled, memory packed trip.
A mixed bag of guests: Most people find out about us through word-of-mouth recommendation from previous guests. Although many of our REPEAT guests are from the academic and medical community, since the late '90s, we have been pleased to host and pamper many guests with diverse backgrounds: groups and reunions, traveling business women, mothers and their grown daughters, fathers and sons, grandparents with grandchild, consequently initiating just plain "folks" and younger guests into New Orleans French Quarter B&B life.
We hope we can be your hosts
in the Big Easy!
Professional Affiliations:
(FYI: At the B&B, we've got a stuffed peacock (from a movie set), vintage turtle shells made into light fixtures, goat pelt throws, mink/fox choker, etc. It ain't our fault -- we inherited these things, but if the thought of being in the same house with them turns you off, consider one of our other accommodations, instead.)

Last but NOT least, thanks to all our great GUESTS. They keep coming back, referring family, friends and colleagues to us. Some have made MAJOR contributions to our WEB site over the years. Just like the Oscar awards, I'm sure I'm going to omit mentioning someone who helped us, but open up the REVIEWS/GUEST COMMENTS section to the left and you'll see at least we've made a start (a major achievement for us to get ANYTHING started). Eventually, we'll get more guests photo's posted there, too.
